Living in hell
I'll try to keep whiny posts about the weather to a minimum over the next five months, but last Sunday we hit 100 degrees Fahrenheit for the first time this year. This morning I went out at 8.40 and it was already 91. Sigh. The ONLY saving grace of Arizona in the summertime is our pool. Either this weekend or next we will have it all cleaned out and ready to go. We use it at least 5 times a week, and it feels gooooooood. Stupid desert. Stupid "heat islands."

Aw, man! I'll be in Phoenix in two weeks...and it's gonna be hot! No ocean breezes out there to save me!
And, of course, in keeping with my hellish driving habits lately, I'll be driving from Irvine to San Diego to Vegas to Phoenix to San Diego to Irvine, all over a four day period. Awesome - no excessive heat there or anything.
Too true, Thomas, too true. Here it's practically a necessity. Before we bought our house we went to the community pool all the time. Just to put your feet in the water is a blessing.
