Who wants a postcard?
Some of you may know that I am going on vacation in three weeks to Egypt. Yes, we're leaving the children to fend for themselves! We'll be there for a little less than two weeks, and if you'd like a postcard, I'd be happy to send one to you! Just e-mail me with your name and address and I will fire one to your from the exotic land of the pyramids!

Egypt? Cool, and congrats, and have fun... but be safe over there, dude.
We will. I know they're very careful with tourists, since they get so much money from them. We've checked it out very thoroughly.
If you don't know hieroglyphics, have a go at learning a little. Even a couple of weeks with Collier and Manley will probably be enough to translate cartouches.
Then you can smugly glance at an inscription and declare "ah yes, Thutmose the Third, if I'm not mistaken" to admiring onlookers who are unaware that the inscription is screaming "I was made by Thutmose the Third" in foot-high letters.
Have fun! I look forward to reading all about it. My husband wants to go there someday. It's on the list!
