Update on my resolution

This morning I weighed 219 pounds, meaning I lost 2 pounds in August. Meh. It's better than June and July, when I gained 8 pounds. After the turmoil caused by Norah's birth, I'm eating a little better, and soon I'll be able to ride my bike a little more (yes, here in hell everything is topsy-turvy - we wait until the winter to do physical activity!). So far this year I've lost 15 pounds. Two months ago I had lost 21, but what are you going to do? I'm still within reach of getting to 200 by the end of the year. Being overweight sucks.

Have you thought about the South Beach Diet? I'm considering it. It does a complete overhaul of how you eat and perceive eating. Two of my sister's are doing it. One of them has lost 21 lbs and her husband has lost 26. Stoker's parents also did it and both lost lots of weight. They're back to where they were when they got married. Stoker's mom's year long goal is to stay under 125.

I hear you about hell. It's so hot out all the time I never want to leave the apartment, to get the mail or anything.

I'm doing band instrument rentals for Music and Arts Center. I drive 30 minutes to get to north Phoenix, the store is on Bell road. It sucks. But it's keeping me busy until my job at the Desert Botanical Gardens starts and the subsitute teaching thing comes through.

Krys is actually considering doing the South Beach Diet, as a few people she works with started it and lost a good chunk of weight. So we'll probably start it up. My problem has never been what or how to eat, it's discipline. I suspect that's the problem with most people, too.
