Meming it
As you well know, I don't do many memes, because I don't. That's just the way it is. However, I am flattered when someone tags me, which Nick did last week, so I will respond.
1. Ten years ago: In August 1995, I had just started working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon and planning my "honeymoon" to New Orleans, well over a year after I got married.
2. Five years ago: In August 2000, I was finishing my thesis for my Master's Degree in History, which I defended in November. Its title: "Legislating Against Reality: The Political Conflicts and Context of the Seventh-Century Merovingian Church Councils." You're dying to read it, I know.
3. One year ago: I had just started school, but I only worked six weeks before quitting to take care of Mia.
4. Yesterday: Took Norah and Mia to the mall, bought Kung Fu Hustle on DVD, and bought comics. Comics rock.
5. Today: Went to the day care place to show off Norah. All the people there love Mia, so they were happy to see her. Mia's open house was tonight, so we took her to meet her teacher. She starts school on Monday.
6. Tomorrow: A nap would be nice.
7. Five snacks I enjoy: Ice cream, Snickers, apples, Kit Kat, bananas. I certainly don't eat enough of the fruit, but I like them.
8. Five bands I know the lyrics of most of their songs: Marillion, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, the Pogues, the Indigo Girls.
9. Five things I would do with $100,000,000: I can't even imagine that kind of money. Travel for the rest of my life, I suppose. Tell Joe Quesada that I will pay him to write the Uncanny X-Men.
10. Five locations I'd like to run away to: Australia, Scotland, the Riviera, Paris, New Zealand.
11. Five Bad Habits: Only five? I eat too much crap, I procrastinate, I watch too much television, I surf the Internet WAY too much, I inject way too much heroin (oh, I'm kidding!).
12. Five things I like doing: Hanging out with Krys, reading anything (comics, books, magazines), blogging, playing soccer, writing.
13. Five TV shows I like: The Daily Show, Deadwood, Lost, 24, Arrested Development. There are others, but those are probably my favorites.
14. Famous People I'd like to meet: Living or dead? Shit, I don't know. Dagobert II, Charlemagne, Christopher Marlowe, Teddy Roosevelt, Don DeLillo.
15. Biggest joys at the moment: My family. Yes, I'm sappy. Fuck off.
16. Favorite toys: Does the laptop count? That's really my only "toy." Unless you count that weird-looking pronged thing I got at that dark, dungeon-like store the other day ...
17. Five people to tag: Not gonna do it. I refuse to tag anyone. You're welcome to do this, but you're on your own.
There you go! Everything you need to know!

To blog spammers - F&*% You. I don't think Greg deserves this abuse...
And yes, he does have a great blog.
It's such an annoyance. I guess annoying people will find a way to annoy no matter what.
Thank you, Roxy. I'm all choked up now.
Deleting comments is cool, by the way. It's like it never existed!
I got my first blog spammers today. Have I arrived or what? (Or what, yeah, I know.)
Jesus, another one. I won't be as nice as Ms. Roxy - fuck you people.
