I spent fifty dollars on gasoline today

That's it. Not much, is it? Maybe this is old hat to some of you, but this was the first time I have EVER spent 50 dollars on gas. It's for the van, which takes more gas than the other car, but still - $2.49 a gallon adds up real quick-like.

On the plus side, the war in Iraq is going well.
Okay, on the plus side, the environment is recovering nicely.
Okay, seriously on the plus side, Bush is in Texas this whole month, which means it will be difficult for him to fuck much shit up.

Not good enough? Okay, on the plus side, the new Nine Inch Nails album is REALLY good. Much better than the last one.

Fifty fucking dollars. Shit.

$2.49? Try filling up a minivan at $2.66/gallon and then complain; that's what I did today.

Wow - $2.66. Un-frickin-believable. Now I'm feeling better about the $2.49. I know I shouldn't complain because in Europe they're paying 5 bucks a gallon, but it was just a shock to see 50 dollars up there.

You whinging septics, I pay 90 pence a litre! That really sucks.

Yay - someone else says "whinging" - I do too. Of course, Tom uses that wacky metric system, so 90 pence a liter means NOTHING to me. It sounds impressive, though.

Now was it $2.49 or was it $2.499? Are you rounding down? If you're gonna be miserable, be MISERABLE!

Two unrelated points:

Your link to your page about your daughters says it's a link to a page about your daughter (singular).

When did you list the cuts from your version of the Mixed Blog CD hoo-haw?

I refuse to allow myself to see the 50 dollar mark when I fill up my vehicle. I will stop shy of it or only fill it 3/4 of the way in order to avoid that horrible figure. It's a line I won't cross!! The emotional impact would be too great.

Thanks for the heads-up, Roger. And I didn't post a song listing, since I put comments about the songs in the CD. I figured the only people who cared about the songs were the people who received the CDs.

My wife, ladies and gentlemen - always using her puzzler. Like I said - 5 bucks a gallon. Or thereabouts.

The gas station near my apartment passed $3 per gallon the other day.

Good thing I never drive...except for tomorrow, when I'm gonna drive 200 miles.

Shit.

I am going to Southern Cali tomorrow for a week. I cringe at the thought of what my gasoline expenses are going to be while I am there.... It's always more expensive when I am in LA, but I haven't been to LA when it's this expensive at home...!

ugh.
