Italians know why people tune into the weather on local news

We here in the United States believe that people actually care about the storms in the Pacific Northwest or hurricanes on the Gulf Coast. The Italians, however, know that when you tune into the weather on the six o'clock broadcast, you're only looking for one thing: T&A. Or is that two things? Anyway, behold:

I love the first weather chick, who's dressed like she just rolled in from some trashy club. At least the second chick made an effort. I found these here by way of this post.

Italians aren't shy about trying to get ratings, I'll tell you that much.

Hello Greg, long time no see!

Wow. Just wow. I wonder if any channel in the States would ever have a weathergirl like this?

You can tell she's only there for the T&A value, as she's just reading from a clipboard rather than actually looking like she knows what she's talking about.

It would be a lot more interesting if they made them do the hand-waving "pretend I made the maps" thing US weather reporters do. In those clothes, it could get exciting.

Hi Kait! Nice to hear from you! I LOVE the fact that she's reading from a paper. It's just so in your face - "We know you don't care about the weather, so here's a scantily-clad girl to look at!"

That would be quite fun, ahistoricality. I wonder if one of them ever did it, and things did indeed get exciting. One would think the Italians wouldn't mind that a bit!
