Why I didn't watch the State of the Union Address

Well, it's stupid. It's cheerleading. And my question is: does either side even listen to it? You can predict exactly what the Republicans are going to say - "he showed inspired leadership" - and what the Democrats are going to say - "he needs to address problems better." Really, who cares? Both sides are so entrenched that it doesn't even matter anymore. The time for rational discourse among politicians has passed. Sad.
