Ahh long lost Burgas-child whom I refer to as "cousin Greg," how goes it? As you all shall soon find out, this post has absolutely nothing to do with Greg's original comment. It's family reunion time and you, my friend, are stuck wearing tacky sweaters, eating mashed potatoes, and singing Broadway musicals with us (do we ever do that? Dear god I hope not). The other day I met some Lithuanians who taught me how to correctly pronounce our last name. We have been the wrong people for centuries! Gah! Not to mention the actual, proper way to say our last name sounds about 10 million times better than the current way of pronunciation. Perhaps I should send out a memo to the last of the Burgases (aren't there like 6 of us in the US?) stating that from this date forward all shall learn how to say their last name correctly. Perhaps I could even profit off of this...do some sort of pyramid scheme that would, you know, fold after 3 days once all the Burgases were contacted. I guess defrauding the family isn't such a good idea after all...we are too poor and too thinly spread. Maybe instead, I should send out a memo encouraging reproduction?
Ladies and gentleman, my wee cousin, who has never heard of "e-mail," apparently. I kid because I love, Kim! At some point you must explain how to pronounce my own last name - I must know! I AM going to comment on the original post: EGADS! What is wrong with Krys? What mind-tricks are you playing here, Burgas (however it is pronounced)?
