Just how stupid are Americans?
That was the question I had to ask myself two weeks ago, when I first went into a lavatory at Disneyland and saw this on the wall, next to the faucets:
Yes, it's an instruction manual on washing hands. Now, given the fact that most Americans, I'm sure, don't wash their hands after using the toilet, it's perhaps not surprising that they've forgotten how to do it, but really? REALLY????
I'm moving to Andorra, damn it.

It would have been a better sign had it indicated HOW LONG to wash one's hands. Frankly, I'm convinced that signage REMINDS people to wash their hands, not that they don't know to.
I thought you wwere going to comment on the branding/sponsoring aspect of the sign. "This handwashing moment has been brought to you by Brawny; dry your hands, thoroughly and germ-free, with Brawny."
Another wash your hands sign.
As stupid as the sign may have been, most Americans, and other citizens of the world, don't properly wash their hands. And, if monitored, research shows that only approximately 80 per cent of people will wash their hands after bathroom use--much less if no one is watching. So, yes, the Brawny sign is lame, but if it increases handwashing and decreases the spread of pathogens, I am all for it.

I want to know what the signs said inside the stalls. Probably a whole new plateau of disturbing specificity.
