It was very hot in Phoenix today ...
See, your response is, "How hot was it????" Well, I'll tell you.
It was so hot I didn't enjoy swimming in the pool. Yes, even the water was uncomfortable! I have been trying to swim laps every day for exercise, and I have gotten up to 21 lengths of the pool (it's not really a lap, because the pool isn't that long). Today I did 12 before I decided that it just wasn't worth it. I was actually feeling the heat while I was in the water, and I felt very drained. Weird.
It was also so hot in Phoenix today that my poor kitty had to abandon his usual spot in the greenhouse window (where he and Zoe, our other cat, often nap in the summertime) and sleep instead, well, in the sink:
Now that's when you know it's hot!
I haven't checked the high temperature today, but it was supposed to be the hottest day of the year so far. I'm thinking 113 or so. Good times in the Valley of the Sun!

I'm sorry you're feeling the heat, but it makes me smile to know that my ex-wife, who moved to Phoenix almost two years ago, finally found a place more miserably hot than Houston! I feel like that bully kid on the Simpsons.. Ha! Ha!
We still lack humidity (although it's getting worse), and my mom knows people who live in Houston who say they can barely go outside because of the heat AND humidity. But it is pretty unbearable!
It's been unbearably hot here too - some days it's been up to 25C. I'm not quite sure what that is in Fahrenheit but I've a feeling it's a bit less than 113...
I am going to Houston today... In a business suit...I long for the day when they make business suits out of the sweat-wicking materials used to make running & cycling clothes. I would imagine they would look like Star Trek uniforms (Deep Space Nine / Voyager era suits), but at this point, I don't care....
DC- 25C is only 77F, which I think is a LOVELY temperature; heck it's warmer than that in Albany, NY.
Dude, man is not meant to live at such temperatures.
It was a balmy 19C today (what's that, around 66 in antiquated units?) in Halifax.
Someday I will post about one of the most evil inventions ever - air conditioning! Man, temperatures in the 60s? We're lucky if it that's cool in the middle of winter!
